LEARN THE LOOK: Heavenly Glow

Hey there! Today we're breaking down this look:

A super glowy 3D look that features two different chrome textures. Beautiful, but ultimately pretty straightforward once you break it down!

This post focuses on the design, so whatever base you decide to use, you can take it from there. This set is an overlay using an ORLY BIAB.

  1. Presto Pre-Art Gel (DC TNW10)

Apply to the entire nail, ensuring an even coat that conserves your light lines. You want a nice even layer, so that your chrome will shine beautifully.

  2. Lucent Metal Chrome Palette (DC TNW10)

Using the color on the far right of this palette, apply to the entire nail and clean away excess powder using a makeup sponge.

  1. No Wipe Accessory Bond- Black (DC TNW10)

Using a liner brush (I used this one), create your nuanced lines directly on the chrome layer you just applied. This is key to the isolation of your two chrome colors. Cure the black for 20 seconds.

  1. Ultra Pearl Chrome (DC TNW10)

Apply the ultra pearl chrome to your accessory bond lines. This chrome will not stick to the Lucent metal chrome, giving you an isolated silver chrome accent.

  1. Mega Stick Base (DC TNW10)

Seal the entire nail with this base gel to prevent chipping.

  1. Nail Thoughts Top Gel (DC TNW10)

Seal the entire nail with this top coat, and cure fully. Then, use this top coat with the same liner brush you used before to create your 3D droplets, flash curing each one. I used this curing unit to flash cure. Once finished, go into your large lamp for a full cure.

Once you wipe away your inhibition layer, you're done! Using the Nail Thoughts top coat is great for 3D designs, as you don't have to seal it, which preserves your texture.

I hope you try this, it's so fun! Be sure to tag me if you do!
